people? One of the most interesting undertakings is to research the struggle
of many of the world's greatest people to rise against expectations and
succeed. We see them today as they bask in the glory of triumph, achieving
acclaim in various walks of life, without really knowing the whole story.
This is very true with respect to the accomplishments of women in general
and African-American women specifically. Each generation of women achievers
