| How important is the person you meet at the
door of an assembly? Most would agree that the first face you see is an
important face at any gathering. The person who meets and greets is extremely
important. We should never minimize the role of the greeter. When former
Heavy Weight Champion Joe Louis fell from grace, there were many who believed
that he lowered himself to become a doorman at a hotel. The hotel didn't
think so. He was one the best paid doorman they had ever seen. People from
everywhere came to the hotel just to see the world famous Joe Louis. While
ushers may not have national renown of Joe Louis people none the less choose
their places of worship largely by how they feel about the people who receive
them.
