   Have you ever wandered off your course? The times in our lives when we have been off course are those times when we strayed from the goal or mark that we set for ourselves. We started in the right direction then found ourselves sidetracked for one reason or another. Wandering off course is not unique to any person or race. The educated wander off course just as well as the undereducated. The rich and poor alike can both wander off course. Those who are just beginning in life can wander off course and so can those who have been traveling for a long time. Anyone can wander off course.
At the beginning of this year, many set goals for themselves, but have already strayed off the course. Was it a commitment you made to your family? Your church? Or was it simply a commitment you made for self improvement that has been placed on the "back burner" of your life or now occupies the bottom rung of your priority list.
  There are various reasons why we strayed from our course but all they do is provide an explanation but not an excuse for our present course. Staying on course requires a measure of personal discipline empowered by a higher power than ourselves. We need God to help us stay on course.
